Jim has a modern and new school way of teaching which coupled with his vast grappling experience over many years makes for brilliant and productive sessions. Over the past couple of years the team has evolved under Jim to be a brilliant community and space to train. I thoroughly enjoy every time I travel to train there.

I've known Jim since 2007, when I took my team to one of his UMA ground fighting comps and we hit off from the start; from that comp we became good friends and we teamed up to run Gi and No Gi BJJ comps together, which became very popular and well attended.

 

From there I witnessed Jim start his BJJ journey and have been every step of the way with him, sharing the ups and downs and seeing him crowned IBJJF Brown Belt Absolute Champion Master 7 and Ranked #1 at Brown Belt from the IBJJF in 2022.

 

Jim is an inspiration to older grapplers and now passes on his extensive knowledge on to his students; if you are in and around the Lichfield area I highly recommend Rebel BJJ...
